Hair Removal – Razors, Creams, Wax & Laser threatment
Hair removal can be achieved in multiple ways. The basic shaving with a razor is the less complex of the possibilities, but often leaves an uneven surface and stubble is soon apparent. If you do not want to try anything chemical, electrical, messy, or painful, shaving is probably the best option to get rid of unwanted hair. It is easy to purchase an electric razor or bag of disposables at the supermarket and you can shave in the privacy of your own home and bathroom.
If you want a hair removal option that lasts for longer than a few days, you might want to consider depilatory creams. These are applied to the skin and left on for a short time. Then, when they are wiped off, the dissolved hair comes away with the cream. Unfortunately, these lotions tend to smell rather strongly in a negative way. This can put many people off using them. Other people do not want to apply chemicals to their skin. However, this is a pain free solution.
For a small area or a few stray hairs, tweezing out the hair may be the best option. Once again, this can be done at home. It may be slightly more painful than razing, but tends to last slightly longer. Plucking out the hair is also a cheap method of hair removal.
Whether you do so at home or at a salon, waxing is becoming a popular way for both women and men to get rid of unwanted body hair. Waxing can remove hair from most areas of the body, including personal areas. A layer of usually warm wax is applied to the region, followed by cloth strips. When these are quickly pulled from the skin, the hair, hair root, and dead skin cells all come away. Some people find hair removal wax thechnice painful way to remove hair, but it lasts for much longer than shaving, creams, or tweezing.
If you have enough money, salons can provide you with electrolysis or laser hair removal. These are said to be less painful than waxing, with some people experiencing only a mild tingling if anything. There are several differing forms of electrolysis, and if you make an appointment you should make sure you pick the one best suited to you. Some forms deal with larger areas of hair more quickly, whilst others will select a few hairs and completely remove them - in most cases permanently. Laser technology is also usually a longer lasting hair procedures than waxing.
